Oulusta tuli eka virallinen myyntiin, Mikkelistä tulee toinen.

I have looked at the OTK-SHB. I think the design is 75% there, but could be better. Alu vs Stainless, front end attachment mechanism? Perhaps I am wrong. In the US competitions flow through 3D designs with brakes in the end is the current trend.

Do you have a reference, link or picture of the "Mikkeli" braked suppressor? I have A-TEC PRS2 that is well made, 1 piece design and is stainless steel. Very nice unit, the only problem is that the brake is 360 degrees and when shot prone it send debris in the air. If only I could close some of the ports on the PRS2 and then clock the front end it would be pretty much perfect.

I looked at their website yesterday and did not see this. It seems you can only find it if you have the direct link.

Anyhow, this also directs gases 360 degrees which does not support prone shooting. Thanks for the quick reply!

AseUtra has recently acquired a 3D metal printer so we should see some interesting new desings at some point. Whether they will be for PRS, military or hunting use remains to be seen.

At this time in Scandinavia I would buy OTK 100 or 150 suppressor with muzzle brake and be done with it for the next two years at least. After that there might be the newest 3D printed titanium hybrid suppressor from Ase Utra costing only 1500 euros in Black Friday sale

3-4 dB on itseasiassa aika paljon koska tuo on logaritminen skaala. Itse ottaisin mielelläni tuon 3-4 dB hiljaisemman vaimentajan jarrulla jos rekyylin vaimennus on lähellä samaa luokkaa. Käytännön esimerkkinä Ase Utra SL5i ja SL7i välinen ero eräässä Saksalaisessa testissä on n. 2.5dB mutta kyllä se ainakin omaan korvaani on ihan selkeä.

KRG

KRG

PFR SL5i hybrid testit jatkui.

I acquired some more info on the OTK 150 with muzzle brake and wanted to give it a go. Unfortunately FIN and Estonian firearms laws are different so it is not an easy task to complete.

1) In Estonia silencers and/or muzzle brakes are not regulated by law. You do not need a permit to purchase them.
2) FIN can not send/sell silencers directly.
3) All kind of export/import licenses are required, which makes ordering from FIN a no go option if I want to buy 1pcs.
4) There are no retailers in Estonia for OTK products. I asked from our retailers if they would start carrying these products but no success so far.

There are multiple retailers for AseUtra in Estonia. Perhaps they will release something interesting soon....

There is similar situation with magazines sold in Estonia. No license needed but nobody wants to (=  can) mail any to Finland. If I travel to Estonia I can buy the magazines there and bring them with me to Finland. But no mail purchase is possible. Some red tape preventing exporting them.

EU is supposedly about free trade but only thing that works is free travel of the lawless people.

Can Finnish shooters buy silencers based on firearm permit and is it a registered unit (based on serial number) or is it like gunpowder - anyone with a firearm license can buy it and it will not go on the permit. You just need a license to buy it?

Yes, with suitable rifle permit you're able to buy supressor. They're not registered to any database when sold. Kind of works like gunpowder.

Gunshops are required to keep their register of sold suppressors. I was asked only a week ago to supply the serial number a the gun shop because they had forgotten to write it down when they sold it to me.

In future Finnish gun law does not require serial numbers for suppressors and then the gunshop register is a bit weak register.
