Otsikko: Tikka T3 LA chassis/stock options
Kirjoitti: bjorn - helmikuu 05, 2026, 11:27
Looking for more info on Tikka T3 LA chassis or after market stock options. There doesn´t seem to be many available.

MDT ESS - older model, but seems good feedback (ca 1300 eur)
MDT LSS - different generations offer different options (ca 1300-1600 eur)
Vision Pro Chassis - rather expensive (ca 2k eur) but seems good quality and well made
KRG Echo - inexpensive (ca 500 eur) but does not have chassis to the front end, more lightweight option and also more flexible.
AIM Alpha/Delta Chassis - cheaper end chassis (ca 1100 eur) from South Africa, CustomTuote selles them in Finland. 0 feedback and very little info on the internet. Has anyone handled this or used these models?

Are there any other models that are available for Tikka T3x LA? (6.5x55 so medium length is also ok)

I did not include Oryx and Field Stock in the list since they did not fit my intentions very well.
I did not however knew about the Premier Gen2 which indeed is available for Tikka LA and has the improvements made from GEN1 (thicker forend mostly). Thanks for the info. I will look into Premier Gen2 more!

Indeed, very nice stock. I really like the design. If you know any that might be for sale used for Tikka LA I would be interested. Small chance, but who knows.

All in all I am looking for a heavy weight rigid stock for Tikka LA (total weight ca 10kg for prone shooting, that would make chassis total weight around 4-5kg with extra weigths). I am really hoping someone has first hand experience with the AIM Delta chassis. It is almost half the price of other similar aluminium chassis and being sold in Finland. Would like to know what are the shortcomings.

Spuhr chassis is also one choice.

At least from MDT selection the ACC Premier Gen2 seems to be an obvious choice, if you want that much weight.

6,5x55 is a bit tricky with magazines, again at least with MDT the correct mag length is 3.560" for Tikka LA.

That prt chassis can be bought as "medium length" that will accept MDT XM mags that are designed for 6, 5x55

That is true! The 6,5x55 Special might be the best option for the Swede.

Thanks for all the replies. I did do an extensive search on the web before hand but as it seems many of the options just are not easily found.

Some feedback if I gotten this right:

Vision Pro Chassis is only available in Tikka SA. Older regular Vision chassis (2 piece design with swappable forends) has Tikka LA options as well. Vision Pro Chassis seems very high quality and very well made, but with a rather steep price as well. The Carbon Grey is just outstanding in colour.

Spuhr SICS - the prices are just surreal for what it is. Also - no matter how I look at it its beyond hideous.

APW CarbonX and MDT Premier Gen2 - both do NOT have height adjustable rear pad which is a surprise for me and also a big no go, it is needed for proper prone shooting.

PRT Chassis - nice find. Not much info on the web but seems promising. Pricing is just a bit over MDT but in in the same ballpark. Also a big plus - you can get it in XM (3.200") or Tikka LA length (3.560").

Assuming that Vision Pro Chassis is only Tikka SA compatible (like their website says) the suitable candidates would still be in no particular order:
MDT ESS
MDT LSS
PRT Chassis
AIM Delta or other South African made chassis (GunWarrior Gen7 should be also available in EU and they say they can make it for Tikka SA/LA as well). Will have to get more info on those.

I had a 6, 5x55 at one point and I tried using it with 300wm/long action mags but it was not easy to get the mags feed 100%. I would not recommend that when there is a real 6, 5x55 aics magazine available. To my knowledge you can also load it to short action length if you are not going to try and get all of the possible speed out of the case. Worth a try at least

I have different gun, but i use 3.751 long aics magazines to 6.5-284 caliper. That mags are made 30-06 and 300win mag. 300win mag magazine feedlips must to be adjustment from smaller cartridges, but thats work fine. I think, if you found 30-06 mags, that is possible work direct.

Foundation stocks seems to have added Tikka LA onto their inlet list. These need separate bottom metal(hawkings).
