Otsikko: Finnish Maanpuolustuskoulutusyhdistys long range shooting competition inquiry

Hello,

I am looking for official info about Finnish Defence Training Association related long range shooting competitions.

I am a member of Estonian Defence League and we have a long range shooting competition series (4 times per year) where members and visitors (also have seen Finnish reservists participate) are competing in 300m-1000m shooting competition.

Are there any similar events held and is there any English briefing and/or rules that anyone can share? Would like to find something in south of Finland where we could put together a team from Estonian Defence League and perhaps also visit your similar events. If needed I can contact via official e-mail address if the info is uclassified.

Thank you for the reply. Those seem to be sniper challenges, that is fieldcraft, teamwork, tactics and shooting involved.
Are there shooting only competitions held as well or are all those privately organized and not under FNDTA?

Finnish Sport Shooting Association (SAL) arranges PRS-competitions which are civilian long range rifle shooting competitions. I do not know how foreign citizens can join the competitions but it should be possible because Swedes attend the Finnish competitions.
