This story shows bright side of sniper life if this can described with that word. As far as i have heard there is terrible shortage of marksmen and snipers in Iraq. Weapons are distribudet to soldiers wihtout skills. There was terrible accident where Hummer drove over 2 so called snipers, whose position was by the road ...

Well must have had the ranging exactly right because the trajectory is a bit of a snow ball there..;)

I'll agree with JL, this sniper is a honest guy, as he admits that it was a lucky shot, nevertheless he dropped the bad guy, thus great shot.
Well, I wouldn't dare to shoot at 1250 meters distance with .308.

PPS Chillie, now every sniper out there thinks that they can easily hit bad guys at 1250 meters with Kentucky windage and just aiming 12 feet high... :wink:

And some say Dragunov if out of date. This guy knows how to use rifle in urban. Enemy falls at the same time as you hear the shell hit the gound.
I think this sniper must be mercenary. Iraqi´s just don´t have that much patience.
